Helping Your Scholar & Leader At Home

Arcadia’s vision is to develop the “scholars of today to be the leaders of tomorrow”. In order to carry out our vision, we invite YOU, our parents, to work with your individual student(s) to reinforce skills taught during the school day.

We will begin by sharing this philosophy at Open House on September 11, 2019 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. where we will “open our house” to you and provide general guidelines (below) for helping at home. Additionally, teachers will send home fact family triangles (flash cards) and word lists (sight words, spelling words, vocabulary words).

Students in K-2 are expected to complete a weekly homework packet and a monthly reading log. Students in 3rd and 4th grade must complete homework daily, recorded in an assignment book, and also complete the monthly reading log. Parents are asked to supervise work at home as evidenced by signatures on packets, assignment books, and reading logs.
