We’re just hours away from our graduate celebration at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. It’s going to be a busy day with lots of traffic and activities in the downtown area, so you should prepare to leave early to avoid any confusion to access the Harris Theater. Here are some last- minute tips for your timely arrival and participation in the Ceremony.
The main entrance of the theater is on East Randolph Street, but you cannot access the parking lot from that area. If you’re going to drop off someone at the main entrance, you must turn around to access the Grant Park North Parking Garage at 25 North Michigan Avenue entrance or go around to 5 South Columbus Drive to access the Millennium Park Underground Garage. All guests will be able to enter the Harris Theater at the main door on East Randolph Street (Street Level) beginning at 3:00 p.m. The elevators in the Millennium Park Underground Parking Garage will take to you to Randolph Street Main entrance by pressing “Street Level”.
Graduates are to check in on the second floor of the Theater at 2:00 p.m. and proceed backstage to prepare for the Ceremony. Graduates should bring all formal apparel with them, as they will not be able to access the auditorium until the start of the ceremony once they arrive at the Theater.
Guests who are not able to attend the ceremony are able to view the ceremony on our YouTube live stream beginning at 4:00 p.m. The link for streaming is https://youtu.be/Dprfry-DS5Q.
