What's up with 8th Grade Math?!?! - Marvelous March

March is almost over and the 3rd quarter is drawing to an end but our education is definitely NOT!  We will be exploring right angles and the Pythagorean Theorem over the next couple days before jumping into the Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR) on Tuesday.  Make sure to come prepared and on time each day to make each day successful!

Interesting Pythagoras fact:

Although Pytagoras is cited as the creator of the Pythagorean Theorem, it is actually to have been discovered and used by ancient Babylonian, Indian, Greek and Chinese mathematicians well before his birth.

Pythagoras is cited as one of the first people to attribute that the Earth is, in fact, round.

Mrs. Jordan Fitzer

Welcome!  Just a little bit about myself includes the fact that I LOVE to teach.  I am currently entering my 15th year of teaching and I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life.  I have a Masters Degree in Education from Saint Xavier University and a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University.  I am a life-long learner, a Chicago Cubs fan, and a lover of all types of music.  My door is always open and I look forward to working collaboratively with you and your children this school year.
