Dr. Stephanie Healy, Principal

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I know this is going to be an amazing year for all of us. I am honored to be your principal for the fifth year.

I would like to introduce myself. I have worked for Matteson School District 162 since 2002 as a teacher at almost every grade level and as assistant principal at O.W. Huth Middle School. I have had the unique opportunity to watch many of the students in our district learn and grow from the time they entered school through college and beyond.

It is my goal to preserve the traditions of the Arcadia School while moving forward, utilizing the ever-evolving tools modern technology provides educators. I truly believe our children can do anything. It is our job to provide them with the foundation they need to become the scholars and leaders of tomorrow.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with your comments, concerns and/or questions. I look forward to seeing you around the building.

Dr. Taiyuan Banks-Tillmon, Assistant Principal

My educational career began in 2004 as a teacher at Illinois School in Matteson School District 162. My classroom experience spanned grades 4-8. In 2009, my journey as an administrator began when I accepted a position as Academic Adviser (Dean) for two years in a middle school. In 2011, I had the privilege of beginning my administrative experiences as principal at the elementary and middle school level. I am elated to come home to Matteson School District 162 as a partner with parents, staff, and community members, ensuring every child’s personal success.

Along with the staff, I continue to work hard for the legacy of success at Arcadia, while striving for greater heights. This success can only come by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We continue to focus on fostering a nurturing, safe environment for children; building character;using data to drive instruction; and inspiring all students to reach their potential as globally conscious learners. We, the Arcadia staff, will continue to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.

It is my desire that we work together to provide the students of Arcadia Elementary School the best possible opportunities as we prepare them for the future. As assistant principal, my door is always open, and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help us make this the best year yet!

I look forward to working with you.
