Dr. Suzon M. Pulliam Ed.D.

Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Indiana School! My name is Dr. Suzon M. Pulliam and I am delighted to be one of the 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Special Education Instructors for the 2019-2020 academic year. I am extremely excited to have your child in my classroom this year. Although this is my second year teaching in Matteson School District 162, I have been a Special Educator for over 16 years. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working in the Chicago Public Schools, as well as in the South Suburbs, in both public and private settings. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from Chicago State University, a Masters of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University of Chicago, and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University of Portland. I have taught all grades, extending from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, including age 21. I have been married for the past 14 years with two beautiful children.

My motto is that all children can learn! I am very passionate about encouraging and motivating all students to reach their fullest potential. Because I believe that it takes "a village to raise a child", I am excited about collaborating with you this school year, in helping your child to have a safe, productive, and successful educational experience. In addition to focusing on academic rigor, I also believe that the social-emotional development of your child is important. Because of this, my goal is to educate "the total child", supporting and promoting not only academic growth, but positive behavior choices as well. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via the district email at spulliam@sd162.org.

Again, it is with great pleasure and sincerity, that I welcome you and your child to another year of wonderful possibilities!
