Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Krista Zinsmeister
Welcome! My name is Krista Zinsmeister, you can call me Ms. Krista! I am very excited to be your children's teacher for the 2018-19 school year! I graduated from Roosevelt University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. This is my third year at Richton Square. I did my student teaching here and I couldn't be happier with this opportunity!
I have returned from my maternity leave and excited to get to know your children! My baby is 7 months old now and I am very grateful for the time I was able to spend with her at home! I also have a 5 year old son.
My hobbies are crafting and baking. My favorite color is pink. I love coffee and my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family!
My education philosophy is that learning should be fun! Yes, we will be playing. That is how young children learn. We will be investigating, problem solving, experimenting, learning important social skills, refining large and fine motor skills, and much much more! I believe the classroom environment should be warm and loving. I plan to build a community among the students, myself and the classroom paraprofessional (Mrs. House), where everyone works together!
