  • The start of the 2021-2022 school year is coming soon. Here is a quick overview of what parents across the District need to know and where to find more information on our web sites:


    First Day of School

    The first day of school is Monday, August 23rd with a 1:25am early dismissal. Beginning Tuesday, August 24th through Friday, September 3rd, the district will dismiss students at 1:25pm.  Normal bell schedules resume beginning Tuesday, September 7th.

    Supply Lists

    Check the supply lists for your child's school on each school's home page or click HERE for a list of direct links to this information.



    PowerSchool is our secure database that records student information, including name, address, schedule of enrolled classes, attendance and grades. Information is updated daily. Parents should know how to access their child's information using a secure login provided by the District office at the beginning of the year.

    Parent Teacher Organization

    Each school in Matteson SD 162 has an active Parent Teacher Organization that works to support education and build community among our families. Check the link on your child's school to learn more about joining the PTO!
