Ms. Farah Quraishi, Psychologist
Welcome!
Hello my name is Ms. Farah Quraishi, the children call me "Ms. Farah." I am delighted to be a part of the Richton Square Team! I received my Undergraduate degree from Kent State University and my Graduate degree from Governors State University. I am an avid cat lover and enjoy attending concerts during my free time.
As a school psychologist at Richton Square School I conduct school psychological evaluations to preschool age students. I also consult with teachers, administration and parents by providing academic interventions, strategies and support in order to address pre-academic deficits and improve students overall school performance. In addition, I am a school resource for teachers, students and their families. One of my roles is to provide support to children with social-emotional delays and if needed, provide school-based counseling services to improve social-skill development and the overall well-being of children at school. I am also a part of the Preschool Screening Team for child find purposes.
As a case manager at Richton Square School, I coordinate scheduling all Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Section 504 meetings for students with disabilities. I am also Richton Square’s Local Education Agency (LEA) contact for children who receive early intervention services in their home before turning age three. I communicate regularly with the Early Intervention Program and assist in coordinating a smooth transition process for children, if eligible, into school-based services by their third birthday.
