Welcome to 4th ,5th, and 6th grade gifted Spanish!
This is my sixth year at District 162. My other teaching experiences include Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park and student teaching at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park. I have experience in teaching Spanish at many different levels: beginning Spanish, intermediate Spanish, Honors Spanish, and Spanish to Heritage Speakers. I have received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American and Latino Studies and Spanish from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my Master of Arts degree in Education from Saint Xavier University.
My education has allowed me to study in and travel to various Spanish-speaking countries such as Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, and The Dominican Republic. These travel experiences only further ignited my passion for the language, rich history, and culture of Spain and Latin America. Spanish, both the language and culture, is my passion. Spanish language and culture captivates me, and I hope to spread my passion and open the possibilities of learning Spanish in your own life!
