Hello, I am Mrs. Dawn Gant, a fourth grade teacher at Arcadia School. I am honored to say that I have taught in School District 162 for over 22 years.  I began my teaching career at Huth Middle School as a sixth grade Life Skills/Language Arts teacher.  Three years later, I transitioned to Sauk Elementary School all subjects in sixth grade.  After nine years, I transitioned to Illinois School where I taught Gifted Mathematics for seven years. Now, I am at The Arcadia School, teaching your fourth grade scholars and leaders. 

My goal as an instructor is to challenge and foster mathematicians and readers who explore, reason, support their thinking, and communicate mathematically.  My classroom is a learning environment where every student is welcome and appreciated.  At Arcadia School, we are a team of students, parents, and teachers who work together to accomplish the goal of engaging our students in challenging, meaningful instruction to prepare them for college and beyond.
