Mrs. Gant
Mrs. Dawn Gant is a fourth grade teacher at Arcadia School. She is honored to say that she has taught in Matteson School District 162 for over 23 years. Mrs. Gant began her teaching career at O.W. Huth Middle School as a sixth grade Life Skills/Language Arts teacher. Three years later, she transitioned to Sauk Elementary School, teaching all subjects in sixth grade. After nine years, she transitioned to Illinois Elementary School where she taught Gifted Mathematics for seven years. Now, Mrs. Gant is at The Arcadia School, teaching your fourth grade scholars and leaders.
Mrs. Gant's goal as an instructor is to challenge and foster mathematicians and readers who explore, reason, support their thinking, and communicate mathematically. Her classroom is a learning environment where every student is welcome and appreciated. At Arcadia School, she sees education as a team effort-- students, parents, and teachers work together to accomplish the goal of engaging students in challenging, meaningful instruction to prepare them for college and beyond.
