Coming from the world of finance, Mr. Zayer previously was a trader on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile exchange and a Broker/Branch Manager for several commodity trading firms.  He currently holds a MBA and M.Ed from DePaul University.  

Course Description - Digital Publishing - This course draws upon content learned during the three previous technology classes as well as all of the student’s previous Southland coursework. It will be taught in conjunction with the twelfth grade English course. A personal student portfolio will be created using iBook Author and will highlight the student’s goals, growth and accomplishments during his or her journey at Southland. The finished product will be an interactive iBook including self-portrait videos, reflective goals and writings, projects, creative prose and other life artifacts. In addition, seniors will write/work on their college essays, begin the college application process, apply for creative college scholarships that include the use of technology and financial literacy.
