Welcome to 2nd Grade in Room 33! My name is Monica Black. I have been teaching at Matteson School for seven years. Before teaching at Matteson, I was a paraprofessional for two years at a school in Will County and before that I was a preschool teacher for ten years. I am so excited to begin the 2018-2019 school year!

I graduated from the University of Phoenix Online with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  I am currently earning my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.  

When I am not at school, I live in Tinley Park with my husband and daughter Charlotte!  When I do have some spare time, I love to take walks with my family or watch a good movie.
