The Spring Break assignment in Science is designed to give you an opportunity to build a solid grade at the close of the Third Quarter.  Please see  the assignment in google classroom for additional information.

Dear Parents, guardians, and students:

Since we are operating as a school under an e-learning format for additional time, here is the plan. The following topics will be covered during the next stage of e-learning:

7th Grade

March 30-April 3: Adaptation and “Boredom Buster - Student Choice”

April 6-10: Evolution of Dogs and “Boredom Buster- Student Choice”

8th Grade

March 30-April 3: What is Engineering and “Boredom Buster - Student Choice”

April 6-10: Simple Machines and “Boredom Buster- Student Choice”

-All assignments will be issued via Google Classroom.  They are Flocabulary lessons, and can be accessed using your google classroom. The “Boredom Buster-Student Choice” page has a variety of options…please find something that interests you and include your family members in the work if possible! There are also paper packets available at Huth if needed.  All students should be logged into their respective classroom and work will be monitored to gauge the student’s progress. I will be available each day during the e-learning schedule from  9 am - 2 pm to answer questions and assist students.

  • For your convenience, Google Classroom/Google Docs/Google Slides/Google Drive apps are available on Apple and Android making assignments accessible through your cell phones as well.
  • When completing assignments through Google Classroom, be sure to make your own copy of the assignment, change the title with your first and last name, and upload it through the submission boxes provided

School Closure E-Learning Information, March 16th 2020

 

Parents and students,

We are witnessing a unique period in history where we are all being asked to go about life differently. Moving forward, our school will continue to operate under an E-Learning format during this worldwide pandemic. Rest assured, we plan on giving every student the opportunity to succeed and continue to make progress. Use this time to hold ourselves accountable and continue to work toward your goals set for the third quarter. Use this time to read, learn, and spend time with your loved ones. Make the best out of this unusual situation and when school eventually returns, you’ll see how that investment in yourself has paid off. We look forward to having you all in class again soon. Below are some key points to keep in mind throughout this process:

Google Classroom

  • All assignments will be issued via Google Classroom.
  • All Assignments will be available on the first e-learning day.
  • All students should be logged into their respective classroom, but as a reference Google Classroom links and access codes are posted under the resources page on my SchoolWires site.

Students Without Internet Access

Grading

  • I will be available each day during the e-learning schedule from 9 am - 2 pm to answer questions and assist students.
  • Work will be monitored on a daily basis to gauge the progress that students are making
