New Year, New Responsibilities.

      I am very excited to start my 25th year of teaching and this year will be returning to my roots of teaching to all the students.  I have been teaching self contained for the last 13 years and now I will be in the mix with the 6th grade.  I am teaching Social Studies to all the 6th graders and Science to my homeroom and I am looking forward to tackling this year with your students.  My experience in the classroom comes from teaching five years in School District 148 and the remaining have been here at School District 162 at Huth and Indiana.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and my Master's from Governors State University.  Since entering the classroom I have taught 6th,7th, and 8th grade and I feel that is what has helped prepare me for this new journey in my career.  The students will be learning Ancient Hisroty for the year in Social Studies and Earth Science in science, you will love to hear your student tell all about earthquakes and how the pyramids were built.  I look forward to working with each of your students and meeting everyone through the school year.
