Ms. Charisma Mabry
Hi! My name is Ms. Mabry and I am the School Social Worker at Richton Square this school year! This is my 1st year counseling at Richton Square but my 3rd year as a School Social Worker. I have experience working within the general education population & have over 8 years of experience working with children and young adults within the Communication Development (ASD) Program & Destiny (Medically fragile and Developmental Disabilities) program at a Special Education cooperative.
I have experience working as a Medical Social Worker at the Hospice of the Calumet Area in Munster, Indiana. I continue to provide ongoing counseling as a Bereavement Volunteer with the Hospice of the Calumet. I have worked for a Residential therapeutic day school in Schererville, IN grades 4th-12th with a range of mental disorders. I have worked with kids and young adults with behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, ASD, ADHD, psychological disorders, and other needs. My passion is to continue working with young children in need & why I chose to work with children again.
I love to teach social skills and to counsel students on a 1:1 level! I could counsel all day!
I am a very proud aunt to my 2 year- old energetic niece. I will be a soon to be “Mrs.” to my PHENOMENAL fiancé. I have a big family full of children with so much personality, energy, and love. I enjoy working with children because they are friendly young citizens and once they’re exposed to pro-social behaviors, they will go so far in life! I feel that my experiences have helped me become a more sensitive, respectful, and patient person.
I can’t wait to spend the upcoming year, learning and growing with Richton Square!
