Mrs. Brenna D'Ambrosio

Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Prior to coming to District 162, Mrs. D’Ambrosio taught in Chicago Public Schools. She received her Master of Arts in Teaching from North Park University, and has endorsements in Middle Grades ELA, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. She is trained in Restorative Practices and takes pride in helping students learn the skills needed to create community and to resolve conflict. She loves helping her students find books they can’t put down and has worked hard to create a classroom library that will encourage her kids to spend time reading.

When she is not teaching, or thinking about teaching, Mrs. D’Ambrosio is either cooking, reading, biking, or spending time with her family. She is a White Sox fan and lives with her husband, three children, and a whoodle named Harry Pawter.

“There's no such thing as a kid who hates reading. There are kids who love reading, and kids who are reading the wrong books.”

― James Patterson
