Mr. Scott Sargent

Greeting All Indiana Wildcats and Matteson Eagles!

My name is Scott Sargent, this is my third year teaching PE in SD 162. I will be teaching the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Wildcats at Indiana School as well as teaching the 1st and 3rd grade Eagles at Matteson School.

I previously taught elementary PE in the Houston, Texas area and in La Crescent, Minnesota. I spent 9 years in the Illinois Army National Guard while attending Illinois State University and the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse for my education. In addition to teaching here at Matteson SD I am a Team-Building Facilitator at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center in Olympia Fields. In my free time I enjoy all outdoor activities, riding my motorcycle, traveling, reading, and writing. My favorite subject in school besides PE was always history.

I look forward to seeing our students improve their health both physically and mentally this year, showing students how PE class can help them achieve better in the classroom as well as instilling lifelong healthy habits. I look forward to a great year of safe and healthy learning, allowing students to find physical activities that they enjoy.

Here's to a fantastic year of PE and please feel free to email me at should you ever have questions.
