Leah Lacey

Hello!  I am the social worker at Illinois School.  I started with the district in 2001.  I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the families and staff over the years and reuniting with previous coworkers and familiar faces as I've moved between buildings.  After receiving my Master's in Social Work at Auroroa University and then achieving my School Social Work certificate from Loyola University, I started my journey with 162.  Since then, I've raised two young men of my own and numerous dogs!  Through the years, I've coached many sports but soccer has been my favorite and most consistent.  I am a true believer in positive "coaching" through life events and through sport.  I believe that not only do we need a positive coach in our lives but we also need to learn to be our own best coach!  I am honored to be able to teach this to your children each year.
