Mrs. Taylor

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year! I am Mrs. Taylor your child's Reading Teacher.  This is my first year at Illinois School and I really am looking forward to working with your child.  I have 30 years of teaching experience working in Education with most of my teaching years at Chicago Public Schools.  When I am not teaching my favorite things are spending time with my family, traveling and gardening. 

My goal is to increase reading fluency and comprehension as well as develop avid readers.  I believe that all children can learn, however they have unique learning styles that are catalysts for their success. I will create a learning environment that challenges each student to strive to reach their maximum potential.  I want each student to view our classroom environment as a comfortable and exciting place to learn.
