Hello! My name is Jacob Lindstedt and I am a social studies teacher on Pod C. I am excited to join the Huth family this year and get to know your student and your family. I was inspired to become a teacher by several great teachers I had when I was growing up, and I hope to inspire my students as well to enjoy their education and develop a vision for the future. My goal is that every student in my classroom will gain a more thorough understanding of their strengths and their potential while also developing valuable skills to interpret and discuss historical events. I also seek to empower my students to expand their knowledge base through discussions with their peers and their teacher, where all parties can learn from one another and grow.
I earned my bachelor's degree in history/social science from Wheaton College in 2019, where I also played baseball for three years before suffering a career-ending elbow injury. Over the past year, I completed my master of arts in teaching (MAT) in secondary education from Wheaton College and helped coach the freshmen boys basketball team at Wheaton Academy. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with Huth students both in the classroom and in the athletic arena when we are able to do so again. My strengths as both a teacher and a coach will help me impart important life skills--such as teamwork, self-discipline, and resilience--as well as habits that will help your student grow as a person both inside and outside classroom.
I am excited to join the Huth Middle School and District 162 family, and I am honored to work with your student on a daily basis. My hope is to collaborate with you to guide your student toward success in school and life. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. Go Knights!
