I have always loved music and it has always played part of my life.  As a child I was surrounded by and loved music of all genres.  My grandfather was a Mississippi Blues Guitar player who recorded in 1928-1930 with Brunswick and Victor records so I suppose my love of music came honestly. My participation in choir throughout my junior high and high school years was what I remember most . During college, I performed as a vocalist with a local band to help with expenses. 

After graduation, I returned home and worked at AT&T until my retirement.  While at AT&T I had the unique opportunity to become a "jingle singer" and sang on commercials for quite a few years.  During that time I also become involved with the production side of the music world.

I have worked with Southland for the past four years and am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Southland Choir in addition to providing support to the Southland Band and Dance programs.  It's amazing to see the transormation that takes place in the students as they become confident in their music presentations. My hope is that they will carry this confidence forward in life.
