Welcome to Preschool Gross Motor!

I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your students to room 18 and our Gross Motor program/Gym.  It will be part of your child’s daily experience here at Richton Square School. 

I am most excited to be able to teach your child new large motor muscle skills that will help them to develop better running, jumping, skipping, hopping and coordination for life-long exercise and sports activities.  We use Creative Curriculum as well as other research-based learning tools that will teach students and we will reinforce the 3 Richton Way rules that will keep us having fun while we learn, Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible.

Throughout the year, I will be assessing the students and looking for their strengths so that we can challenge them and identify any weakness, so that we can encourage them to build up their skills through practice and play.

I have taught in this district for the past 29 years in a variety of roles, and I am married for 22 years with 2 students in college and my dog, Rosco.  This is my first family and Richton Square School is my second family.  I am grateful to have to chance to share my talents with your children.
