Hola! Welcome to Southland College Preparatory Charter School Spanish. I am Señorita Kumm and I am the Spanish 1 and Honors Spanish 1 teacher in the world languages department. I also have one class period of Spanish 2. This will be my fifth year teaching Spanish (3rd year at Southland) after receiving my Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Spanish Education. I have visited Spain and Costa Rica and am excited to continue traveling in my future. I received a minor in Latino and Latin American Studies as well, and love to include this deeper understanding of history, culture and etc. in my classes. In August of 2021 l finished my masters degree in Educational Policy and Leadership through American University in DC.

For the 2021-22 school year I look forward to continuing to teach at Southland and getting to know my new students!
