Mr. Ian Holst is the gifted math teacher at Illinois School for grades 3-5. He has been teaching for 9 years in the South Suburbs of Chicago in both private and public school settings. Mr. Holst graduated from Marian Catholic High School before attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wi. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Governor's State University while attaining his Bachelors in Elementary Education. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Holst mentors new teachers to the district and is the Election Chair for the Matteson Education Association. Mr. Holst is married, has 3 children, and lives in the South Suburbs.
