Mr. Ronald S. Gary
Welcome to the new school year! My name is Mr. Ronald Gary and co-teacher Mrs. Rinke will be your child’s science teachers for this coming school year. We are excited to have your child in our class and very excited to get a chance to lead your child through a wonderful and fascinating experience over the next nine months.
I want to tell you a bit about our class so you can best know how to help your child succeed in science. It is our goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging, yet fun, experience in class. They will work really hard on everything we do. I am a believer that your child must take an active part in their own education. They won’t be able to stand on the sidelines and passively make their way through class. Your child will need to be on top of every project, assignment, activity, and effort that we do. There will always be something your child will be doing in this class.
I have extremely high expectations of all my students. I will be expecting all work assigned in class to be completed. Of course, all students do not work at the same pace. Some will get their work done in class and some will not. Whether or not your child gets his or her work done in class has no effect on their grade. If your child does not complete an assignment in class, he or she will be required to complete it at home. The way you can help is to ask your child every school day if schoolwork needs to be done, and if so, make sure your child completes his or her assignments. I am asking for your help to maintain these expectations.
Finally, we want you to know that one of our most important goals this year is to keep the lines of communication open with you. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me, I am available to talk to you daily between 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., or you may e-mail me at email@example.com.
