    "Hatchet" novel project Due Friday, March 6th

    Students will research and create a brochure that informs readers about a biome and five items that would most assist in surviving in that biome.

    Include the following: appropriate headings, 5 or more concrete facts and details about the biome, 5 survival items and an explanation of why each item was chosen, 5 biome specific defined vocabulary words, 4-5 direct quotes, 3-5 illustrations, 4-5 documented sources. (Remember neatness counts)

    Science Project Timeline

    Nov. 1- Topic, Research and Hypothesis due (#1, 2, 3 on science project steps sheet)

    Nov. 5- Procedure due (#4 a, b, c on science project steps sheet)

    Nov. 2-Dec. 3 (Students should be testing and gathering data for their project, at home.  Take notes and take photographs during this process)

    Dec. 3- Results and conclusions from experiment due (#5 a, b, c on science project steps sheet)

    Dec. 4-Jan.8 (Students should be assembling the tri fold display boards at home)

    Jan. 8- Completed tri fold display boards due (Only bring the tri fold display board, do not bring any part of the experiment, which is not attached to the board.  All parts of the display board must be typed.
