Miss Hansel
Hello, I am Emilie Hansel and I am the media specialist/librarian at O.W. Huth. I have been in education since 2012. Prior to working in K-8 schools, I worked as an administrator for College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. I am very excited to reintroduce the love of reading to students. I have always had an interest in history and how we can learn and improve from the past. I am a trained archivist and specialize in the preservation of historical books and documents. I am a life-long learner who strives to keep learning for self-improvement. Knowledge is a power that can never be taken away from you. In my spare time, I love to garden, volunteer with Veterans Organizations and I am an archivist for the USS Frank E. Evans DD745. In the summer, you can find me at the Homewood Farmers' Market with my Dad selling organic produce from our small farm. My roots are in East Hazel Crest and I am a second generation American.
