Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Meagan Stokes
Greetings Students and Families!
My name is Meagan Stokes and I am excited to be a part of the Southland family for the first time this year. During my 9 years in the field of Education, I have served in many different capacities: hearing itinerant, diverse learners instructional coach, and now a classroom special education teacher. I thoroughly enjoy supporting students and their families with gaining the most opportunities and supports from the educational system.
Currently, I obtain two degrees and am working on a third. I have a BS in Deaf Education from Illinois State University and a MA in Special Education from Concordia University. I will complete my second Masters, Educational Leadership, in 2024 from Governors State University. I like to refer to myself as a life-long learner, as I always want to be as knowledgeable as possible when advocating and educating future leaders.
This school year, I will be co-teaching 10th grade Chemistry and Geometry, as well as 11th grade Algebra.
If you'd ever like to contact me, I can be reached best via email firstname.lastname@example.org or school phone (708)748-8105
