    Uploading Files/Folders from a Computer to Google Drive

    On your computer, you can upload from drive.google.com or your desktop. You can upload files into private or shared folders.

    1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com from a web browser.
    2. Make sure that you are signed into your account.
    3. At the top left, click New > File Upload to upload a file or New > Folder Upload to upload a folder.
    4. Choose the file/folder you want to upload.
    5. View uploaded files in My Drive until you move them by double clicking the file.

    Drag and Drop Files into Google Drive

    1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com from a web browser.
    2. Make sure that you are signed into your account.
    3. Open a folder or create a folder by clicking New > Folder at the top left corner.
    4. To upload files and folders, drag them into the Google Drive folder from your computer's Desktop or File Explorer.
    5. View uploaded files in My Drive until you move them by double clicking the file.

    Uploading Files from an iPhone/iPad

    1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Drive app.
    2. Tap Add.
    3. Tap Upload.
    4. Find and tap the files you want to upload.
      • To upload photos or videos, tap the photos and videos you want and tap Upload.
    5. View uploaded files in My Drive until you move them by double clicking the file.

    Uploading files from an Android

    1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Drive app.
    2. Tap Add.
    3. Tap Upload.
    4. Find and tap the files you want to upload.
      • To upload photos or videos, tap the photos and videos you want and tap Upload.
    5. View uploaded files in My Drive until you move them by double clicking the file.

    Creating New Docs/Slides/Sheets in Google Drive

    1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com from a web browser or click Google Drive from your iOS or Android device.
    2. Click New (the plus sign) and select the application type.

    Install an Extension in Google Chrome
     
    1. Open the Chrome Web Store.
    2. Find and select the extension you want.
    3. Click Add to Chrome.
    4. Some extensions will let you know if they need certain permissions or data. To approve, click Add extension.

    To use the extension, click the icon to the right of the address bar. If you’re using a computer through your work or school, your organization might block some extensions.

    Sometimes, when you install an application on Windows or Mac, it also installs a Chrome extension. The next time you open Chrome:

    • To grant permissions and use the extension, click Enable.
    • To delete the extension, click Remove

     

    Install on Your Phone
    1. On your phone, open the Chrome app Chrome. If you haven’t yet, sign in to Chrome.
    2. Find the extension you want.
    3. Tap Add to Desktop.
    4. Confirm by tapping Add to Desktop.

    The next time you open Chrome on your computer, you’ll see a message that the extension was installed. If the extension needs some permissions, you'll be asked. To approve, click Enable extension.
