Mrs. Karen Clay, Principal

Greeting Illinois Family,

Welcome to Illinois School! I'm Mrs. Karen Clay and I am honored to be your child's principal. Last year was a wonderful year and I am really excited about the overall growth. This year, we plan to exceed our goal!

I have four children of my own who are all educators. The most important message I want all parents to know is that whatever I desire for my own children is what I desire for every child that walks through the doors of Illinois School.

I enjoy visiting classrooms, coaching teachers and working with our students to ensure that they are reaching their full potential. Our school aims to improve teaching and learning strategies to make certain that we continue to meet current standards and expectations. I truly believe that all children can learn and become leaders and I will do everything possible to ensure that our students accomplish these goals. With the cooperation of parents, students and teachers, students can thrive and excel because, "Excellence is the Expectation for EVERY child, EVERY day!"

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year!  I look forward to partnering with you through our child's educational journey.  Let's work together and have a wonderful school year.  Go Wolves!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Karen Clay

Greeting Illinois Family,

We welcome all our parents into the Illinois School family!  It is important to us that we work together to ensure the best education and the most enriching school experience for EVERY Ilinois School student!

Please work with the teacher to keep the lines of communication open and positive and don't hesitate to contact me at any time to set up a meeting, share a question or concern, or advise us on better strategies to help your child have a positive learning experience to reach their success.  Volunteering, in some capacity, communicates to our children how important their education is to all... and they will LOVE it!

I am looking forward to a wonderful school year and seeing all the smiling faces return to our Home of the Wolves!

Sincerely,

Ms.Gail Hartsough
