I am looking forward to this school year.  This is my 18 1/2 year in District 162 and 25th year in teaching.  I graduated from Huth in 1987.  I have a long family history in the district.  Besides myself graduating from the district, so has my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  I have a daughter who is 21 years old and a son who is 19 years old. I have two-step daughters and two-step sons, ages 13 to 26. I will become a grandmother in September.  I have mainly taught 7th and 8th grade thru the years.

I am anticipating a year full of learning and enjoying the mathematical process.  I hold high expectations for every student.  I have a passion and love for teaching that will never end.

I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl playing school. I have 15 years of experience in teaching, 13 of which have been at Huth Middle School. The other two years were at Turner Drew Language Academy. I have worked with 1st through 8th graders in my teaching experience. In the last few years, I have worked with Mrs. Tweedy in seventh grade mathematics. I look forward to working with your children to have successful school year. 

I am also a mother of three beautiful children; my son is 9 1/2 years old, and my daughters are  7 years old and 4 years old.
