Ms. LaDonna Harris

My name is Ms. LaDonna Harris and I will be your child's new 6th grade math teacher for the 2019-2020 school year here at Indiana Elementary! Mr. James, Dilger, Special Ed, will also be co-teaching in the classroom as well. In addition to mathematics, your child will also learn science and writing in this homeroom classroom. We are very excited to meet all of our college-bound students and guide them through seventh grade. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education (K-9) degree from Chicago State University which followed an extensive educational program of observing, mentoring, tutoring, assessing, student teaching and then intermediate grade level teaching within Chicago Public Schools over the past five years. During the last few school years, I’ve designed instructional plans, performed various assessments, served as the MTSS lead and conducted day to day teaching in literacy, SEL, science, writing and mathematics. Over the summer, I worked as a teacher for the Matteson SD in the summer S.T.R.E.A.M. program creating curriculum-based projects. I am very eager to begin educating our young people that will eventually grow into our future’s doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, inventors and more!! Let’s go sixth graders!!
