Business Plan -- Create a business using Publisher, Word, and PowerPoint.

Webquest -- The purpose of this WebQuest is to teach students how to design a computer and then determine the best price to sell it at. A company, New Media Studios, has presented a design request to a student company to design a "low-end" and a "high-end" computer. The students are to go online and find out how to design a computer and then go to several web sites to find the best prices for those parts. Students engage in activities using persuasive language in business letter writing, spreadsheet work, and a final multimedia presentation.

Webquest -- This WebQuest is designed to help teach students "How Computers Work". The objective is to have the students make their own computer booklet which includes a three part dictionary, various worksheets, an essay, and a mini research paper. The worksheets that are found on the Resource page may be reproduced for use in your classroom.

Who is Next?-- The Illinois General Assembly has just announced that they are interested in honoring another famous American with an official school holiday (see Article 24; Section 24-2 of the Illinois School Code). You have been selected as a member of the new Advisory Council to the General Assembly. It is the Council's task to determine if another holiday is advisable and, if so, who should be honored.

Surviving the Holocaust-- Imagine you are a Jewish child in Germany during World War II.  Develop a plan to survive.

Webquest -- Students will learn about copyright law and how it applies to sharing music on the Internet. They will create a coherent argument using acquired information to defend their chosen role. They will work cooperatively within their groups to reach a consensus on the issue of music use on the Internet.

Webquest -- History of Computers from Beginning to Present. This is a detailed article on this subject matter written as part of course assignment at Nova University.

Webquest -- A Webquest about the Internet and Graphics. Influenced by Golden & Silver Age comic books and characters. Deals with social and ethical issues, as well as practical applications for HTML, Graphics, etc. Designed to go over 10 weeks.

Webquest -- This WebQuest requires student to critically analyze Internet sites to determine if they present valid and accurate information.

Webquest -- Go back in time to 2001 to prevent the destruction of the world by investigating the damage caused by technology.

Wonderful World of the Computer Lab -- Computers can be a lot of fun. They can also be very confusing.   The more you know about them, the more fun they are.  So let's get to know them!

Webquest -- In this WebQuest, students choose a state and investigate the physical, historic, economic, and cultural features that define that state. The students create a PowerPoint and Travel Brochure (in either Microsoft Publisher or Word) to "advertise" their chosen state to encourage travel and tourism there. Sample projects and templates are provided.

Webquest -- In this webQuest students are faced with the prospect that the internet is going to be banned from their school unless they can prove to their parents that they know how to be safe on the internet. Each student has an assigned role for which they must become an expert. As a group they must create a presentation to persuade their parents to change their votes.
